4Ever Blackhead & Whitehead Remover Review

If you weren't living under a stone you would know about the whole nose peel-off hype that has been swarming through Instagram and Facebook the past few months. From black head/whitehead removers, to peel-off sheets and DIY home-made peels, something about watching or using them was oddly satisfying. 

Recently I was surprised to come across such a remover in the local supermarket which was a product of 4ever Skin Naturals , one of the biggest cosmetic companies in Sri lanka. It is being sold as sachet singles for Rs 100 and can be found in most local cosmetic shops. 

So of course Hipogirl wanted to do a review on it to help out your curious little minds out there. 

♡ First impression

To start off with the packaging, it is quite plain and simple.   

Now what surprised me is the remover cream once I squeezed out the package. 

It had a consistency of a runny, liquid like white cream with a very strong alcohol scent.

Not going to lie it did scare me a bit at first because the cream looked really similar to the common binding glue we always use. So just to be safe I checked out the key ingredients in the packet and it indicated Gelatine, Glycerine, Zinc Oxide, Alcohol, Aqua. So no worries it is all safe. 

♡ Directions 

To quote the package directions,

"Apply on your cleansed skin and cover with a folded tissue. Leave it for 15 min to dry and peel off smoothly in upwards direction."

I applied it just on my nose as a test. 

♡ Results 

When I was peeling of the tissue after the given time it was a bit painful like all other nose strips so that itself told me this will be a success. 

I didn't have a lot to complain about the whiteheads I had but it still managed to pull out quite a few ones off my pores (seen by the edge of the tissue in the picture below) 

As predicted the peel really worked! It made my nose really smooth which proves it did it's magic well.

• Customer friendly packaging

• One packet can be used around 4 times 

• Does what it claims

♡ Cons

• Has a strong alcohol scent which is really overpowering

• Wish it had it's own peel-off sheets rather than directing the customer to use tissues

♡ Do I recommend it?

Absolutely yes! If we are to buy a good nose peel from another brand in local cosmetic shops the price range usually falls between Rs 300-500. Now finding such a peel which is just half that price, works well and as a bonus hits that Sri Lankan pride of ours is I think a good bargain. 

I do know the picture above doesn't do much justice to my raving. That's because I have a strict skin care routine which somehow saved my skin from getting a lot of whiteheads and blackheads. So if you really want to see how this works I would recommend it on some visible ones first. But this would work equally well on any type of skin. 

Bonus tip: the peel would work even better if you washed your face with hot water before you apply it. The heat will open up your pores and will help the peel grab the heads skin deep. But be sure to pat dry before packing the peel on!
