I believe the most evil curse anyone with hair could get in life is dandruff. And to make the matters worse, the next curses to follow up with dandruff are hair fall and hair thinning.
These three issues are known to be the most common yet hardest to cure hair problems people have. Along with so many other hair solutions the beauty industry depicts, I am living proof that shampoos and alcohol washes prescribed by Dermatologists never really permanently get rid of these awful specs of dry scalp.
Today i'm sharing with you all a mask that combines two natural ingredients Karapincha and Uluhaal that are the worst enemies of dandruffs; which of course make them our besties!
Who knew these two ingredients that we use daily in our Sri Lankan kitchens can save our hair?
♡ Uluhaal (Fenugreek seeds)
Fenugreek seeds are well known for curing dryness of the hair scalp. It contain high amounts of protein and Nicotinic which help battle any kind of dry scalp issues which leads to dandruff, hair thinning and balding.
These tiny seeds also contain an agent named Lecithin which aids in hydrating the scalp and strengthening the hair roots.
♡ Karapincha (Curry leaves)
Curry leaves are full of amazing Vitamins like B and B6 which helps in strengthening hair shafts. They are also rich in beta-carotene and antioxidants which boost the hair by promoting hair growth and get rid of the dead hair follicles.
♡ Coconut oil
Helps in hydrating and nourishing the dry scalp. Coconut oil also promotes hair strengthening and hair growth.
♡ Lemon or lime juice
Antimicrobial properties rich in lemon or lime will aid in curing almost all fungal infections that leads to dry scalp. Citric acid in it also helps fight dandruff and scaly scalps.
How to:
♡ Drain the water and add the soaked seeds and leaves into a blender or a grinder. Add 1/2 cup of coconut oil and 2 table spoons of lemon or lime juice to it.
♡ Blend until the ingredients turn into a creamy paste. If the mixture is too thick, add a bit more coconut oil.
♡ Wet your hair with warm water and apply the mask to the scalp. Massage it well.
♡ Wrap a towel, shower cap or a plastic bag over the hair and let the mask sit for around 1 hour.
♡ Wash off the mask with normal or cold water.
♡ Repeat once or twice a week until a difference is seen.
